French Bread Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of fresh French Bread
  • 2 cups cups of marinara sauce 
  • 3 cups low moisture shredded mozzarella cheese
  •  1 1/2 cups pepperoni (slice 1/4 inch thick) 
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes 
  • fresh basil to garnish 
  • Mike’s Hot Honey 
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees 
  2. Slice loaf of French Bread lengthwise down the middle. Spread marinara evenly on both sides covering evenly (add more marinara if needed to cover entire loaf)
  3. Add shredded mozzarella evenly spreading out over both halves. (You should still see some of the marinara through the edges of the mozzarella). Add pepperoni slices separating them evenly on both halves. 
  4. Place French Bread on a metal cookie sheet or wired oven pan. Cook in oven on 475 degrees for 10-15 minute or until cheese is melted and starting to brown. 
  5. Place pizza on a cutting board adding the fresh Basil and sprinkle 1 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes. Drizzle Mike’s Hot Honey over generously. Cut into 3-4 inch pieces and sprinkle grated parmesan over the top of each half. Serve warm and enjoy!!!!!!
