Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

 


Ingredients 

  • 1 1/2 lbs. chicken wings 
  • 1 Tb coarse black pepper 
  • zest of 1 lemon 
  • juice or 1 lemon 
  • 1 Tb seasoning salt (I use Adobo. You can use Lawry’s as well). 

Instructions 

  1. Place chicken wings in a medium sized bowl. Add the lemon juice first. Then add lemon zest, coarse black pepper and seasoning salt. Mix with your hands or tongs. 

  2. Set Air Fryer to Max Crisp setting for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Pause and flip wings over with tongs 7-10 minutes in.  **(If you don’t have an air fryer add 1 Tb baking powder w/ aluminum to the recipe. Once ingredients plus baking powder are mixed together, place on cookie sheet or rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Use metal tongs to flip halfway). 

  3. Once golden brown and crispy to your liking, garnish with lemon 1 tsp lemon zest and 1 Tb flat leaf parsley (optional)
